Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups water
- 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- ¼ tsp dried thyme
- ¼ cup reduced-fat milk
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp coarsely ground black pepper
- 3 tbsp sliced almonds
Steps
- In a small pot, combine the water, oats, and thyme. Season with salt. Heat to a boil on high. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook 3–5 min., until thickened, stirring occasionally.
- Remove pot from heat. Let sit 2 min. Stir in the milk, Parmesan, and pepper. Divide between 2 bowls and garnish with almonds.
