Guaranteed to be a family favorite, this simple take on baked spaghetti uses just one pot for easy cleanup and is ready in 30 minutes.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 (16 oz) pkg 90% lean ground meat
- 1 yellow onion, finely diced
- 1 (24 oz) jar pasta sauce
- 2 ½ cup water
- ¾ (16 oz) box spaghetti
- ½ cup finely shredded 6 Cheese Italian Blend
Steps
- In a 4- to 5-quart heavy-duty pot, heat the oil on medium-high. Add the ground beef and onion. Sauté 6–8 min., until beef is mostly cooked, stirring and breaking up beef with back of spoon.
- To pot, add the tomato sauce and water. Break the spaghetti in half and add to pot, stirring to combine. Season with salt and pepper. Cover and reduce heat to medium-low. Cook 15–20 min., until the spaghetti is tender, stirring frequently so spaghetti noodles don’t stick. Remove from heat and stir in the cheese until melted. Serve immediately.
